Erasmus for Social Entrepreneurs

In 2011 the Euclide network launched Erasmus for Social Entrepreneurs, as part of EfYE. It offers 35 young social entrepreneurs bursaries of €1,000 to undertake exchanges.


In 2009 the EU launched an exchange programme for would-be and new entrepreneurs. Based on the succesful Eramus student exchange programme, it supports travel and living expenses for placements of up to six months with an entrepreneurs in another EU country.

A number of social economy organisations are registered intermediary organisations, including:

  • Cooperatives Europe
  • Central Co-operative Union of Bulgaria
  • CEPES Andalucia
  • Unión de Cooperativas de Consumidores y Usarios de España
  • Elabora, Italy
  • InforCoop - Istituto Nazionale di Formazione Cooperative
  • APEX - Organisation of Maltese Cooperatives
  • Coompanion - Kooperativ Utveckling Sverige
  • Co-operative Union, UK

Information meeting 28 April 09

An information and networking meeting on this call took place on Tuesday, 28 April 2009 from 14:30 - 18:15, at the Conference Centre Albert Borschette, 36 Rue Froissartstraat, 1040 Brussels, and was also webstreamed.
