Description

Building on from the self-diagnosis tool, the skills audit provides a summary of the training needed to provide the best chances of success. It includes an evaluation of the person’s profile, skills, environment and activity sector chosen.

Business creation support is then provided, including by taking the person through the practicalities of developing their business idea, from designing the business plan and carrying out market surveys to getting financial help and building professional networks.

Justification/aim

The skills audit and business support can help identify gaps between someone’s hopes or expectations for developing their business idea and the reality of creating or taking over a business. By focusing support on the areas of greatest need, the tool can help build confidence and improve chances of success.

The product is particularly interesting in that not only does it provide technical support for the realisation of specific stages, it also includes an element of coaching on project management.
