WHAT DO YOU WISH TO REALIZE BY JUNE?

WHAT KIND OF PRODUCT (PROJECT PROPOSAL, ACTION PLAN, OR OTHER)?

By June we wish to produce the project proposal which could be briefly presented as follows: Given the fact that Komotini will soon (before June) have two active entities: the observatory (which counts indicators of enterpreneurship in the city of Komotini) and the local office of employment- products of Urban II and the local initiatives of employment program respectively). We would like to create an active structure that will combine the data collected and will connect all possible stakeholders and assure the involvement of the local community. The goal is to create a connection with the associations of migrants, the immigration office of the police department and the university if possible. We wouldn’t like to separate these groups but incorporate the possible actions in the structure explained previously. The key element in this procedure is to assure the sustainability and retain funding of staff, equipment and publicity-dissemination activities.

WHAT ACTIONS WILL YOU TAKE TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL?

Meetings with the local stakeholders, local chambers and the MA. Meeting with the police migration office in order to create a possible link Meeting with the local University department of Greek literature so as to set a cooperation concerning the Greek language courses. Dissemination activities: interviews and leaflets to inform the public Research for the adoption of good practices presented in Amadora meeting (Taxtix, questionnaire, way of processing from Torino e.t.c.)

WHAT KIND OF SUPPORT DO YOU NEED?

• Provision of good practices, micro-finance: how to achieve it, consultancy, ideas.

• the observatory is counting indicators of enterpreneurship in the city of Komotini and gives real data about the population, the activities etc.
• The plan is to combine the data from the observatory so as to justify the actions taken, combine after the existence of the office of local employment and give these people a chance to inform themselves, find work and also help them in creating their own business.
• What we have writen about these two entities was for completeness because we would like to make something concrete and sustainable hopefully!
